Sony's Vlog Camera ZV-1 - designed for vlogging and content creation - provides professional image quality with 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor, 24-70mm zoom lens, 20.1MP, professional sound quality with 3 directional capsule mic and wind shield, horizontal flip screen, natural skin tone, Soft Skin Effect, 0.03-sec fast AF, 4K HDR (HLG) video recording, Real-time Eye AF, and Multi Interface Shoe for external mic, microphone jack, and image stabilization.
Designed for vlogging, featuring a vari-angle LCD screen, recording lamp for selfie-shooting, secure grip and easy operation. New! Thanks to a firmware update (V2.0) the ZV1 can be used as a webcam with video and audio for Windows and Macintosh systems.
A premium camera, with Soft Skin Effect, natural skin tones and optimised brightness for faces. Allows you to use the Zeiss lens for defocused backgrounds and the 3 channel microphone for sharp audio when live streaming or using conferencing software.
Record high sound quality - a directional 3-capsule mic and wind shield is supplied with this camera. In addition to this, the ZV1 can now be connected directly to compatible mobile phones (currently the Xperia 1 II and Xperia 5 II) for streaming on the go.

Good camera but overpriced
Costs a lot for what it is. Does have good settings but the cost is very high, especially since there’s no built in flash so you if you need one you’d have to purchase one separately

Sony ZV-1 Still a little powerhouse of a camera
Just brought this camera specifically for shooting video on a gimbal. I have to say it is still one seriously powerful and versatile camera at the price. I am a seasoned sony a7s series user and owner. It offers stabilisation in lense and body, slow mo, 4k recording, external input/outputs, great audio quality, 24 70 zoom offering f1.8 at certain ranges, and many other features. Still blows away the competition at the price. It has features that the mark 2 does not have. It is viewed by many as a vlogging camera, however in the right hands, it is a really powerful camera creating footage which can be equal to a high end premium gear. For those who are on a budget and require high quality video, you cannot go wrong with the ZV-1. Thank you Sony!!!

Battery life is not great
Battery life is very poor. Transferring photos from the camera to the phone is a huge pain and most times doesn’t even work. The app used to transfer the photos is so glitchy.

My first camera
This is my first proper camera and I'm very excited! I mostly purchased it to take photos and videos while travelling with the missus, and so far we've been just on one trip. Even though it is a point-and-shoot, I still find the menus and settings a bit confusing as a total beginner, though the results are amazing! Really looking forward to using more and getting better at creating content!

Returned in less than a week
I bought this to vlog from home, but the colours are dull and the footage is grainy even in a controlled environment. Microphone: The in-built mic so worse than that of an iphone 12. Battery life: Fully charged, the battery dies after 15 minutes of filming without fail. Footage Transfer: The app to transfer files to your mac or iPhone is temperamental. It takes 1 hour to transfer a 5 minute video file, if you are lucky enough that it doesn't spontaneously cancel midway through. Concensus: stick to your smart phone if it has a decent camera!

This is the windscreen that can be used to reduce wind noise picked up by the internal microphone when recording a movie, you can remove the shoe cap from the camera, and then attach the wind screen to the Multi Interface Shoe.

This is a directional digital microphone with windshield attachment.
The wind screen reduces wind noise, for easy outdoor shooting. As well as achieving premium sound quality, you can spend less time re-shooting and editing footage affected by the wind.
