The machine itself is excellent, it's reasonably light and powerful enough for home use, however, the foam polishing pad provided is very poor quality and you will need to buy some better quality ones. All in all it's a very good purchase and well worth the money. Definitely would have scored 5 ā if the pad was better quality.

Heavy duty polisher
I was actually surprised by the quality of this especially for the price it was . Bought for my Dad as a gift for polishing his vans , he is a man with all expensive tools and even he is amazed to say it wasnt a expensive named brand polisher . Does what he needs and good very good quality , would be better if you could buy spare pads at argos but the gentleman behind the counter was very helpful in telling me where i can buy them . Happy overall with the product and service i received . Happy dad so happy daughter .

I used
Meguiars Ultimate Compound with mine and it got rid of the micro scratches.

Take a look at the PDF at the bottom of the product information this is the user manual for this Guild Dual Action Car Polisher and it states that the tool takes discs and pads no bigger than 18cm. There is no backing pad included only the foam pad.
