About this product
The Argos Home Kaycie Mid Sleeper with Slide gives you a practical bed that works for play and sleep without taking up the height of a high sleeper. It's built from solid wood, so it's strong enough for daily climbing, sliding and adventures. The slide turns bedtime into something your kids actually want to do. There's space underneath for a play den or for storing toys and books. The white finish fits with most bedroom colours and furniture you already have.
The ladder fixes to either end, so you can set it up to suit your room layout. It needs fixing to the wall for stability, and all the brackets come with it. Wooden slats support the mattress, which needs to be sixteen centimetres deep or less for safety. The bed sits at a height that's easy for goodnight routines. It's tested to hold one hundred and twenty kilogrammes and suits children aged six and over. Two people needed for assembly, instructions included.

Sturdy, fun bed
This was fairly simple to put together, though something to bear in mind if you buy the bed with the slide, you have to remove part of the frame and replace with a shorter piece to accommodate the slide. So it may be worth unpacking everything and try to fit the short part and slide as you go. Bed seems reasonably sturdy and I slept in it myself once, it took my 10.5st weight! My son loves it and the slide seems safe.

Perfect children’s bed
Instructions are super easy to follow and I managed to build it myself which was a bonus. My daughter loves it! Saw a comment from someone before I built it advising to open the box for the slide first as the main bed instructions mean you can build the whole bed then have to undo a bit to attach the slide. Opening the slide box first you then have the instructions on which point of building to add the slide so super useful tip!

An opening in a safety guard without a ladder, platform or slide in front of it is not allowed, as the child could fall out of the bed in this opening. The bed can technically be used without the slide, as the short post by the slide is attached to bed rail. But it's not legal according to the safety standards.

I can advise that it is 74.6cm from the floor to underside of the bed. Therefore you can fit a dresser or chest of drawers underneath as long as they are no higher than this.

Having looked into this. The Silentnight Kids Eco Memory Bunk Mattress - Single889/2007 would fit the bedframe, as its depth is 15cm.
The mattress for the Kaycie Mid Sleeper, must be no more than 16cm deep.
