Its three speed settings give you control for different applications, while the temperature overload function shuts down if the unit overheats for safety. "This is not something we would recommend the product to be used for." (It's likely to create far too intense a heat and risks damaging, or melting, or burning the plastic. It's not designed for this sort of use).
