Fun and detailed Star Wars AT-AT Lego set with good display value. Some find legs fiddly and unstable, causing frustration. Suitable for adults and older kids, with enjoyable build experience overall.

An Iconic Build That Makes a Real Statement
The LEGO Star Wars AT-AT Walker (75440) is one of those sets that instantly stands out once it’s on display. It captures the look of the Empire’s walker really well, with a sturdy build and plenty of detail across the body and legs. This is definitely aimed at adults or more experienced builders. The build is involved and takes time, but that’s part of the appeal — it feels like a proper project rather than something you finish in an hour. The finished model is large and impressive, so you’ll need a bit of space to show it off properly. While it’s mainly a display piece, there are still some nice features and details that fans will appreciate, especially if you enjoy the original trilogy. Overall: A standout set that balances challenge and display value. If you’re a Star Wars fan looking for a centrepiece build, this is a rewarding one to take on.

Infuriating build
I have been building Lego for just over a year now since I read it was therapeutic. I have terminal cancer and found this hobby again after all those years since childhood-I’m 69 now. I have read the reviews where this wee kit goes together fine with no issues but for me - perhaps it is because of my age etc I couldn’t get the legs to remain attached to the body. I’ve even tried using glue which is sacrilege and I’ve never used it in the past however even that didn’t work. After however many times I tried it just wouldn’t hold together so I’ve passed it on to a friend to have a go. I have built all kinds in the past year or so from Dobby up to the McLaren P1 including Black Pearl and the Enterprise all perfectly built with no issues but this kit has beat me. Good luck to anyone who has a go and I hope it works out for you.

Great item for a Star Wars fan
My son found the kit really good fun to build and loves the articulation. The use of the hook system was very intuitive, and he really enjoyed the build. It looks incredible on display with his other Stae Wars Lego diaoramas.

Very impressive model.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kid was over the moon it was his first Lego from Star Wars. Very impressive model. Kit has 525 pieces and says 18+ but my 11 years old son safely build all by himself in few hours time. He was so pleased with finished model. But in my opinion this particular set can be classified as 12+.

So cool, easy to assemble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this, it was such a fun build and is the perfect size to fit in my “Star Wars” cabinet. The legs are a bit fiddly to get on and I managed to mess it up and had to fix bits along the way, but the finished results are amazing. There are only 4 bags, so it wasn’t a long or difficult build.
