Very thorough cleaner indeed, removing thr debris from the pile as observed by the colour of the water sucked up by the machine. Carpets looked and felt better for the agitation of the pile, the scrubbing bars making a big impression on the carpet.

I have not used my new vax yet but my previous machine was a vax too so I know it's absolutely brilliant and better still the purchase from argos made it even better. Simplicity at its best. 👌

A good value and effective carpet cleaner
Used the carpet cleaner once since purchase and it has performed well. It comes with a good range of attachments, including a localised cleaning head with rotating brush. The carpets dry quite quickly, which is a good bonus. One minor point is that if it is required to clean the inside of the cover over the main rotary brushed, significant dissassembly is required, but the small amount of residue left in this after carpet cleaning is not problematic. Generally a good value and good quality carpet cleaner.

Hi bought this carpet cleaner a few weeks ago just got round to using it .did everything as instructed to via the instruction manual. rubbish .waste of time . don't buy it should have got on my hands and knees and scrubbed it by hand

This won't dry with hot air, it dries via pulling as much moisture as possible from the carpet, this is the same with most of the carpet cleaners.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vax Platinum Power Max Upright Carpet Cleaner: On this model you do not have to measure the solution - there is a solution tank that you pour the solution into, the machine then automatically mixes the solution with the clean water at the correct ratio for you. Any solution left in the tank thank then be returned to the solution bottle to use another day.

The hose on the cleaner reaches up to 2.5m. I'm unable to say if it will stretch to the top of your stairs. You would need to measure your staircase to see if the hose will reach.
