One of the best we've found!
Having a 8 year old, 4 year old and a baby we've certainly had a few mud kitchens, this one has been the sturdiest and lasted well. Kept my children busy for hours. I've just ordered 2 more in the sale, because we rate it so much! Although we do paint them.

Great mud kitchen
I bought this as a birthday present for our grandson and he loves it. It’s well made and looks smart. We’ve varnished it as it’s going to live outside.

Sturdy, great for 2 kids, needs weatherproofing
My 2 and 4 year old love this. I’m so glad we got it at the start of summer as it’s means we spend most of the day in the garden. It does require weatherproofing, ideally before construction or you won’t be able to reach all the sides of the wood. I spent a couple of days painting every surface with weatherproof wood decking stain - 3 coats. On reflection I could have used Danish oil instead. After constructing it (I was able to do it single-handed as a not very muscly woman) I noticed that the stovetop black wooden circles were warping as water was getting trapped beneath it after playing. I drilled some messy drainage holes under the stovetop pieces, and then reattached them with washers underneath so they weren’t flush with the wood below it and water can evaporate more easily. It’s handling rain and playing fine now, I will probably recoat the whole thing each year in spring. We wipe it clean after every play session. I put the shelf behind the sinks on backwards so it doesn’t encroach on the counter space. The water dispenser is from IKEA.

Mud kitchen
I bought this for my 2 and 3 year old for Christmas and they love it. One thing I will say is if you’re leaving this outside, treat the wood asap as sadly I didn’t & it was outside for 3 weeks in the rain and snow, and the wood expanded and split on the door therefore it doesn’t shut. Grandad will fix it though! ☺️
