It's a decent effort, but with quite a few caveats
It's a fair machine for rudimentary use. Pros: Large screen. The carcass of the laptop is quite sturdy, despite its all-plastic construction. Cons: Quality-wise, the screen is only usable square-on. Tilt it, even a wee bit too far to either side/top to bottom, and its pretty poor. Despite its Athlon/AMD Processor, it really is quite slow. I've been setting up new computers for over 26 years, but this one took me well over 6 hours to `get there'? - My previous HP laptop (Similary Windows 11) was a doddle, by comparison? (Same price too) My Canon Pixma Printer/Scanner worked on previous W11 laptop - but not this W11 laptop? Canon had stopped supporting it - no Driver updates anymore? (Got `round it by downloading the old W10 Driver, from Canon USA website - an old trick, but it works!) Worst thing of all; the folder/file structures are all to be found in OneDrive (the cloud) - not individually, accessible entities on YOUR computer, as they once were ie. Desktop, Pictures, Documents etc? - again, there are means and ways to remedy this if, like me, you prefer those folders (and their contents) to be `at your finger tips'? Beware, though. Microsoft has a nasty way of defaulting back to the cloud, despite your efforts to set File Explorer as YOU prefer it? - I'm still `working' on it? (I will not be defeated!) Other than that, it's a decent machine, bearing in mind the small outlay.

Bought this for my dad as he just wanted a laptop for general use and games. It’s decent enough for that. Easy to use and he hadn’t had any problems. It isn’t used for work or anything specific so can’t comment on things like that, but for web browsing music and games it’s decent enough.

Overall very impressed with this laptop and the quick delivery from Argos. Could'nt beat them on price. Keyboard a little clunky but excellent battery life and easy to set up - a good everyday laptop.

It's possible, but you will need to take it out of S-Mode, and then depending on the effects and native plugins may cause issues due to the power of the CPU.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the HP 15-fc0078na 15.6 Inch AMD Athlon 8GB 128GB Laptop - Black: The processor on this device is entry level therefore not really suitable for gaming. It can handle basic online games and apps but for anything larger it will not be suitable.

The laptop does come with a numeric keypad (most laptops 15” and above do). For laptops without a numeric keypad – it might be worth looking at 14” laptops.
