The item works as advertised and for the intended purpose, however they could adjust the ad photo to match the items as initially I thought I'd be getting the 2 pairs for the price but in reality the price was for a pair.

Master Lock TSA 3 Digit Combi Travel Padlocks - Set of 2
To set the code please follow the steps below:
Adjust dials so the preset factory combination of 0-0-0 appears clearly in the “windows”.
Pull shackle straight up and rotate it 90˚ counter clockwise so the notch on the shackle aligns with the notch in the lock body
Firmly press shackle down into the body of the lock and rotate it counter clockwise an additional 90˚. The shackle should be pushed securely inside the body of the lock so it will not come out.
Set the 3 dials to any combination you choose. Make sure each number appears clearly in the window. Record your combination – once the lock is set, there is no way to open it without the combination.
Rotate the shackle 180˚ clockwise. The lock is now ready to be used with your new combination. To change the combination again, repeat steps 1-5.

The supplier has advised the following for the Master Lock TSA 3 Digit Combi Travel Padlocks - Set of 2:
"These locks are very small designed to fit on luggage. The width of the shackle is 3mm". They add also that: "As long as the zips have a hole in them to enable locking these padlocks should fit."
By width, they mean thickness, as in the thickness of the U-shaped bar that the shackle is made of. The size of the hole/gap inside the shackle when closed is 2cm x 1.4cm.

As long as there is not a lip on your wheelie bins larger than 2cms which would prevent the hasp fitting properly, then these Master Lock TSA 3 Digit Combi Travel Padlocks - Set of 2 should be suitable.

The purpose of the key slot is so that airport security can open your suitcase if they need to. This way it wont damage your lock or your suitcase. They key they have is universal but because of security, cannot be purchased by members of the public - so dont forget your code!
