Great radio alarm and cd player
Excellent product. Really easy to set up, 2 alarms can be set to come on with buzzer or radio. 4 preset radio stations available and cd has really good sound. Purchased to replace a clock radio but with the added CD player I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very dissatisfied
Very poor quality considering it was from Roberts. I had a Roberts machine before and was very happy with it. This one has had corners cut like using a small piece of wire for an arial which turned out to be completely inadequate. Sound quality poor as well. Bought a cheaper Bush machine instead and that was excellent. Argos did take the Roberts machine back with out argument though.

If it isn't broke don't fix it
I bough this to replace my 14 year old Roberts Sound 38. I was expecting it to be about the same as my Sound 38. (There's an old saying, if it isn't broke don't fix it) the old one had a slightly bigger display screen and once set it continued display in sequence Album Artist and Title then continue with the next track the same. This one you have to touch the display button each time for each track, otherwise it only displays the track number. On the plus side this one will let me use a USB flash drive and the volume control is much better on the new one. Had the for mentioned been the same I would have given it *****

Roberts cd/dab radio player
Radio/CD is very compact with a clean simple design. A remote control would have made the device even more user friendly. The only downside is the poor radio antenna, DAB reception is very dependent upon physical location.

Disappointing
I was looking for a small radio/CD player for a shelf in my kitchen. The dimensions seemed ok but of course cables exit from the back of the machine which I hadn't accounted for so it doesn't fit as well as I'd hoped. You can't tune the sound on the CD player so it's a bit tinny but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Hey David,
I can advise that the Roberts Sound 49 has Bluetooth for streaming music to the unit from your phone, but it does not transmit Bluetooth out to wireless headphones.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Pimizi,
The Roberts Sound 49 DAB+/FM Radio & CD Player does not have an aerial for receiving DAB signals. Instead, it relies on Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio and has a CD player for classic music playback.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A.
