Can wash at home , no need to professional wash
Just having a sheet on the mattress is not enough to protect the mattress from sweat . Most mattress protectors are way more expensive and need professional laundering, This fits that mid way point where the mattress is protected , thin enough to be washed at home and electric blanket works fine beneath it
