Tall hedges getting out of control? The Spear and Jackson 45cm Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer is an 18V tool for reaching high growth safely. The telescopic pole extends fully so you'll work from the ground instead of ladders. Diamond-ground blades cut cleanly through stems up to 16mm thick. You'll trim at different angles using the pivot head without straining your arms. Dual action blades reduce vibration as you work for better comfort. The quick-stop brake and electronic brake improve safety during operation.
It's powered by a Li-Ion battery that runs for up to 20 minutes per charge. You'll get back to work quickly with the one-hour charging time. The 45cm blade length handles medium hedges efficiently without multiple passes. A soft-grip rear handle keeps control comfortable even on longer jobs. The shoulder strap takes the weight so you won't tyre as quickly. At just 3.5kg it's light enough for extended trimming sessions. Lightweight, easy to use
Fantastic for cutting Laurel hedge extension pole really reaches the top lightweight, battery lasts about an hour which is about right really for the work you’re doing. I’m 65 years old and I can still manage to use it, but I do need a cup of tea now!

I purchased this cordless Spear & Jackson pole hedge trimmer to supplement a mains operated hedge trimmer that was not suitable for reaching the full height of the hedge. The cutting, ergonomics, reach, and safety were excellent, it was also vibration free. Definitely value for money. I would purchase Spear & Jackson tools again.

Overall it worked quite well. It is still a bit heavy but, nowhere near as heavy as the mains one I have been using. The blade cover kept falling off because it was too lose. Fixed it with some 'Gaffer Tape'.

Im a qualified gardener in the trade for 17 years and in my professional experience of using a number of long reach hedge trimmers of both petrol and battery variants, i’m well impressed with these shears from spear and jackson. Tackling my enormous garden boundary privet hedge that I would normally use my petrol trade ones on. These did it with ease, especially with the fully articulated head, and not far off the power of my petrol ones. I highly recommend

Very pleased with my purchase
Was looking for one of these whilst recuperating from a fractured arm..This one came up on good offer plus used some Nectar points to reduce the immediate cost to me. Very easy to assemble and straight forward to adjust and operate. at full extension it is obviously heavy but the supporting shoulder strap made for a pretty good fulcrum point although my 'good' arm also had to take an amount of the load. Whilst the fully extended position requires the most effort reducing the length makes for easier working. The battery lasted throughout my work. The cutter did well, it wasn't overly noisy performed fine.. Very happy with my purchase.
