About this product
The Elmdon Kingsize Divan Bed gives you firm support where you need it and storage where you'll use it. It's built around a 325-spring open coil mattress that keeps your spine aligned through the night, topped with soft cushioning layers that gently contour to your body. The firm feel suits people who prefer solid support over sinking-in softness. It's a no-turn mattress, so you rotate it regularly instead of flipping. The damask cover has a quilted finish that feels smooth and looks smart.
The divan base holds four storage drawers, two on each side of the bed, so you can tuck away bedding, clothes or anything else that needs a home. Each drawer measures 78 centimetres wide and 44 centimetres deep, enough room for bulky duvets or seasonal items. Chrome feet lift the base slightly off the floor for stability. The grey fabric base blends into most bedroom schemes. You can add a headboard from the Elmdon collection if you want one, sold separately. Minimal assembly required, two people recommended.

Decent Bed For The Price
Bought for the Mrs to have down stairs after an operation as she'd be confined to bed for 8 weeks. The Bed is generally good, had some in the past where the skin on the base breaks and dips but this seems a bit more solid. It gets the OK for comfort from the invalid too. We didn't open for draws but you can easily feel/ see where they would have gone through the fabric. Feet are good so it doesn't creep across the carpet.

Terrible mattress
The frame of the bed the 2 storage drawers are very good, the problem here is the mattress, since a week old it was making sounds as it couldn’t resist the weight of an adult body, it is very uncomfortable and really would love to returned! I am giving 3 stars because the mattress.

The depth should be 22cm. Mattresses aren’t perfectly flat—pillowing, quilting, and shaped edges can make the stitched sides uneven. By placing a straight pole across the top and another across the bottom, you create two completely flat reference planes. This ensures you measure the actual maximum thickness, not the lower, inconsistent edge height.
How to Measure the Depth of a Mattress.
Place one straight pole (or a long straight object) across the top surface of the mattress so that it lies flat and level.
Place a second pole underneath the mattress, directly below the top one, ensuring it is also flat and level.
Measure the vertical distance between the two poles using a tape measure.
This measurement represents the true depth of the mattress, taken from the highest point of the top surface to the lowest point of the bottom surface, not from the stitched or quilted edges.

If the label states ‘non‑turn’, the mattress is not designed to be flipped over. However, you can still rotate it so the head end becomes the foot end, which helps maintain even wear.

No it is not 22cm measured with a flat board top of matteress and bottom of matteress it is still only 18cm also does not say on matteress that it is ortho sovery disoppointed with this item the description is very misleading
