A well made and attractive garden awning
We were very impressed with this awning when it arrived. It has a good robust construction and was relatively easy to fit. The design is very attractive to look at, whether it is rolled up or extended. We also purchased the weather proof cover to protect it over the winter and this seems to be working well.

Very useful for shading the patio
This is second ones of these we've had. Got a handyman to install. They really are great for keeping the sun off the house and providing a shaded area to sit. It's quite basic, with a hand operated mechanism to wind it in and out, but nothing to go wrong either. I would recommend this product, and getting the cover to put over it in the winter, to extend it's life.

Fantastic Awning
Easy enough to put up with 2 people. 3 bricks above window and door, drill holes etc. Great for the kitchen as we have sun south facing. Cools kitchen down. Would recommend.

This awning really does the job of shading the kitchen which has full sun most of the day. Fairly easy to put up, seems very robust and looks great too.

Great for an all weather garden!
Brought it first 3 years ago, it kept us sheltered from the rain and rays alike, it took a worthy battering of British weather, but needed refreshing which was simple with this replacement as it was a just 2 screws from the original bracket and the built in spirt level alignment… perfect!

Simple installation of wall brackets and blind
Fitted one of these blinds from argos on our previous house years ago and have now fitted one onto our present house. Easy to remove from wall brackets to store in the shed during winter months which helps to extend their lifespan greatly.

The supplier has advised the following for the Greenhurst Ascot Garden Awning - 3m:
"Items are removed from the bracket the same way they would have been installed. They simply need to unscrew the securing bolt and slide out of place. Due to the length and weight of the items, it would be recommended to have two people do this for safety."

This is suitable to be left wound out during lighter showers and sun however if it is heavier rain/wind this may cause issues/affect the awnings use.

There is no set minimum height for this as it will depend on the setting of the angle of descent. However, if positioning above a door or a window, the manufacturer has stated to please allow at least three rows of bricks clearance.

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know they say whilst there is no reason why the Awning cannot be fitted to a fence, it would have to be mounted onto either concrete posts or substantial wooden posts and they would not recommend it

I have spoken to our suppliers who have advised as follows.
We don’t recommend fixing an Awning to facia boards and we don’t supply specialist brackets.

We would not recommend fitting an awning in this situation. However, the width of the Greenhurst Ascot Garden Awning is 3 m. This awning will extend 2 m from the wall.
