Unexpected issues
I couldn't use the monitor from my previous Acer due to no VGA port. I couldn't use my SD card due to lack the SD card reader which is mentioned in the manual - https://documents.4rgos.it/v1/static/7417445_R_D001 Couldn't find power on/off button which was taped over.

I bought this a few weeks ago to replace my extremely old one and am very happy with it. It included everything apart from a monitor (my old one is still working well) and was reasonably simple to set up. The only downside is that most of the USB ports are on the back.

Could be better
I didn't realise this has no DVD/CD drive which i use a lot for music and all my back up files from old PC are on disc. I had to buy one. Also it boasts 5 USB ports but 2 are taken up with mouse and keyboard so really its only 3! Apart from that it seems ok so far!

So light to handle, keyboard soft touch, and mouse is fine. These Acers were out of stock for a couple of weeks but I'm glad I waited. NB sad point, I was told I you would be in touch but you weren't. Glad I checked the site again as I might still be waiting!!!

Great for what we need
We only use it for emails and basic internet, and it works great for that. Very easy to set up. Switches on quickly and seems very fast.

The Acer XC 1710 Intel N100 8GB 256GB Desktop PC should work right out of the box. It comes with a keyboard and mouse, so you'll just need to connect a monitor to get started.
If you prefer not to use a Microsoft account, you can still set up your Acer XC 1710 desktop with a local account.This will allow you to use the computer without linking it to a Microsoft account.
