Customers Say
Comfortable and good value single divan bed with handy side-slide storage. Mattress quality varies, assembly is easy, but some report flimsy base and missing headboard.

Not a bad short notice purchase!!
I purchased this bed a month ago for a small spare room in my house, and after reading the reviews. Delivery was on time, and one of the delivery men kindly helped me take it upstairs. Assembly was very easy and took 15mins. I tried it out - the mattress is very basic in that the springs give very little support, a bit of a roll when you move on it, but strangely is comfortable to lie on!! Two overnight family members slept on the bed and had no complaints. I will put a mattress topper on for added comfort. The divan drawers work well with lots of storage and are a good depth, but can keep opening at times by themselves as the runners have nothing to stop them doing so. This really is my only complaint. Fits lovely in the space provided and for what l need it for. Just need a headboard now. I would recommend this if you are on a budget, assembles easily, and if you need something at short notice like l did. Not sure how long it will last long term , but it is only to used as a guest bed.

check the position to access the sliding storage
first bed delivered had a huge hole in the base, looked like it had been damaged in transit, quickly remedied with a call to customer service and a replacement sent without incident. Bed itself decent enough quality, but the sliding storage means the bed can only be positioned against a left hand wall as the headboard fixings are only on one end

Bed base good but mattress not very good

Value for money
Bought as a spare bed it seems sturdy and comfortable although I haven’t slept in it. The sliding doors are very convenient for storage in a small room but they are rather stiff to open. We found it difficult to find the holes for the headboard and would suggest that they be made visible Overall quite good value for money.

The Argos Home Elmdon Comfort Double Divan Bed - Natural
It is mentioned on the website that - The Elmdon Comfort set combines an open coil mattress with a solid divan base that works together for balanced rest. So, the mattress will come flat with the divan bed.
