Cheap, poor design.
OK, its Cheap, and so far its worked. However you may like to consider the following before purchase? Argos helpfully offer a preview of the leaflet on how to use. unfortunately its out of date. The lid is not removable and does not assist emptying the old oil. The actual basket has a pretty flimsy handle, is a tight fit for the bowl, which does not allow a really vigorous shake to drain. Worse still, the lip to anchor the basket out of the oil is too shallow and unreliable. The lower oil level mark is said to be 1 litre, I have my doubts. 330 grams of normal chips at this level is certainly just about the max, but care needed if you are using higher temperature than the recommended, you could easily overflow the bowl. The temperature knob is flimsy and on mine gives no feel of being a switch (no click) when turning on or off. The marked temperatures around the knob are minute and will challenge any normal eye sight, I needed a magnifying glass. The electricity cable is a tad too short too. Overall, not a brilliant design, the choice of 1 litre fryers is melting away. As a "single" who wants to cook proper chips this wasnt a good buy. Not recommended.
