Yes, you can use the Decathlon Arpenaz Base M on a hard-standing gravel pitch. To ensure you don't damage the tent or compromise its stability, please consider the following three points:
1. Groundsheet Protection
The Arpenaz Base M includes an integrated 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet. Although durable, sharp gravel can cause punctures. We recommend placing a heavy-duty groundsheet or "footprint" underneath for extra protection. This also keeps the tent base clean during pack-up.
2. Pegging
The standard 6 mm steel pegs included are designed for soft soil and may bend on gravel. We recommend using "Rock Pegs" or heavy-duty steel threaded pegs, which are specifically designed for compacted ground.
3. Stability
As the living area is 2.15 m tall and relatively lightweight (8 kg), it can be affected by wind. Securing your guy ropes is essential. If the ground is too hard for rock pegs, you may need to use heavy weights, such as sandbags or water canisters, to secure the corners.

Creating a "double-roof" effect will significantly reduce internal heat and protect the tent's fabric from UV degradation.
To cover this specific shelter (2.5 m x 2.5 m x 2.15 m), we recommend the following setup:
1. Recommended Tarp: Quechua Multifunction Tarp Fresh (Size XL)
- Dimensions: Approximately 4.27 m x 4.27 m.
- Benefits: This size provides enough overhang to protect the sides from driving rain and sun. The "Fresh" fabric is specifically designed to reflect UV rays, keeping the area much cooler than standard polyester.
2. Alternative Options
- A heavy-duty 4 m x 4 m or 4 m x 5 m rectangular tarp from a camping supplier would also be effective.

The answer to this question, is no! There are no poles for the canopy, but there does seem to be guy ropes and pegs. Thanks Argos
