About this product
The Aspley Small Double Ottoman Bed keeps your bedroom tidy by hiding bulky bedding, spare pillows, and seasonal clothes out of sight but within easy reach. It's a solid pine bedframe with a clever storage compartment underneath the mattress, ideal for smaller bedrooms where wardrobe space runs short. Hidden grab handles let you lift the inner frame smoothly to access the storage area below. The sprung wooden slats support your mattress and let air circulate, while the grey finish fits with most bedroom colour schemes and styles.
The ottoman mechanism opens from the end, so you can position the bed against a wall without blocking access to storage. The concealed compartment is deep enough for duvets, blankets or out-of-season clothing, keeping everything protected from dust. The solid pine frame keeps the bed stable and sturdy through daily use. Two people recommended for assembly, arrives flat-packed with clear instructions and everything you need. I love this bed, easy to put together. Just the extra space that was needed, so much fits in the space. However have removed one star as there are a few marks and dent on the bed that shouldn't be there when openingthe boxes.

Pre-drilled holes a problem, but it looks great!
Wanted a white wooden ottoman bed, and this fit the bill perfectly - until I tried to put it together! I guess you get what you pay for, as it was cheaper than many others. I built it straight after fitting IKEA wardrobes, which went together brilliantly and quite easily. The instructions on this were better, in fact REALLY good to follow - but the pre-drilled holes for dowel rods and screws just didn't match up on the separate pieces, and at one point, when I had to force two pieces together, a little split appeared in one of the sections of wood. However, it is in place now, and looks great. I am very happy with it (I just hope the wood doesn't split any more)!

Overall good quality. Though, the metal frame felt very hollow and light weight. Fitting instructions are clear. Not very difficult to put up the bed. The storage under bed is good, can fit large suitcases if the bottom panels are taken off and bags put on floor.

Apologies, no, the headboard is what hold the sides together as the legs of the headboard are connected fully to the bed. Unlike conventional headboards that just attached to a base.
