About this product
The Argos Home Aspley Kingsize Ottoman Bed Frame gives you somewhere comfortable to sleep and plenty of hidden storage underneath. It's a solid pine frame that holds up well to daily use, with a clean white finish that blends with most bedroom styles. The ottoman mechanism lifts from the end using concealed grab handles, revealing a generous storage compartment inside. It's ideal for storing spare bedding, pillows or seasonal clothes where you need them most. The kingsize sleeping area fits a standard kingsize mattress and comfortably accommodates two adults.
The base sits on sprung wooden slats that support your mattress and allow airflow beneath. The lifting mechanism keeps the frame stable as you access the storage space, no awkward balancing or propping required. It holds up to 220kg total user weight across the sleeping surface. The frame sits at a practical height off the floor, so getting in and out of bed feels natural. Assembly required with two people recommended for easier handling. I love this bed, easy to put together. Just the extra space that was needed, so much fits in the space. However have removed one star as there are a few marks and dent on the bed that shouldn't be there when openingthe boxes.

Pre-drilled holes a problem, but it looks great!
Wanted a white wooden ottoman bed, and this fit the bill perfectly - until I tried to put it together! I guess you get what you pay for, as it was cheaper than many others. I built it straight after fitting IKEA wardrobes, which went together brilliantly and quite easily. The instructions on this were better, in fact REALLY good to follow - but the pre-drilled holes for dowel rods and screws just didn't match up on the separate pieces, and at one point, when I had to force two pieces together, a little split appeared in one of the sections of wood. However, it is in place now, and looks great. I am very happy with it (I just hope the wood doesn't split any more)!

Overall good quality. Though, the metal frame felt very hollow and light weight. Fitting instructions are clear. Not very difficult to put up the bed. The storage under bed is good, can fit large suitcases if the bottom panels are taken off and bags put on floor.

Apologies, no, the headboard is what hold the sides together as the legs of the headboard are connected fully to the bed. Unlike conventional headboards that just attached to a base.
