The Aspley Kingsize Wooden Ottoman gives you a place to sleep and a hidden storage solution that handles everything from spare bedding to out-of-season clothing. There's a solid pine frame that provides lasting strength and stability for everyday use. The end-lift ottoman design reveals a spacious concealed compartment underneath, so you can store bulky items out of sight and keep your bedroom tidy. Hidden grab handles make lifting the inner frame straightforward and safe. Sprung wooden slats support your mattress and provide airflow to help it stay fresh.
The natural oak stain finish brings out the wood grain while protecting the pine from daily wear. The storage base holds a good amount, enough for duvets, pillows or suitcases you don't need every day. I love this bed, easy to put together. Just the extra space that was needed, so much fits in the space. However have removed one star as there are a few marks and dent on the bed that shouldn't be there when openingthe boxes.

Pre-drilled holes a problem, but it looks great!
Wanted a white wooden ottoman bed, and this fit the bill perfectly - until I tried to put it together! I guess you get what you pay for, as it was cheaper than many others. I built it straight after fitting IKEA wardrobes, which went together brilliantly and quite easily. The instructions on this were better, in fact REALLY good to follow - but the pre-drilled holes for dowel rods and screws just didn't match up on the separate pieces, and at one point, when I had to force two pieces together, a little split appeared in one of the sections of wood. However, it is in place now, and looks great. I am very happy with it (I just hope the wood doesn't split any more)!

Overall good quality. Though, the metal frame felt very hollow and light weight. Fitting instructions are clear. Not very difficult to put up the bed. The storage under bed is good, can fit large suitcases if the bottom panels are taken off and bags put on floor.

Apologies, no, the headboard is what hold the sides together as the legs of the headboard are connected fully to the bed. Unlike conventional headboards that just attached to a base.
