Functional Wardrobe
I bought two of these wardrobes as they were reasonably priced. So easy to assemble and I'm not the greatest at DIY. I was worried they would be 'flimsy' when built but they provide a lot of storage, to be honest. I wouldn't recommend too many coats/heavy items though - but it does the job for general clothing - jeans, tops, dresses and the like. I didn't attach mine to the wall using the screws and fabric hooks supplied - I felt it was fine without, being sturdy enough and not wobbly. The light white cover completes the look perfectly and the top of the wardrobe can actually take a little bit of weight comfortably without collapsing. Overall a great buy and I'd recommend.

Perfect. Just what the Doctor ordered!
I bought this item for my spare room as an overflow for my clothes in the main wardrobes! It's just perfect for me. Strong enough to hold alot of clothes. Easy to erect, I thought the cover might be a problem. But no it fits like a glove. Easy to collect, really light and a small packet. Would highly recommend.

OK - does this do the job? Yes. Is it sturdy? No. Will it last forever? No (my last one managed about two years before the plastic cover just rotted). However, if you want to keep a few shirts (coats are too heavy and it will collapse) and you don't want this as a forever piece of furniture, it's good value for money. It's very simple to put together.

I think you will find that the base comprises a plastic member on each side and a metal rod to the front and back which can be clearly seen in the photos and the erroneous assembly instructions.
I would have hoped that an Argos member of staff would have ensured that any response was factual and not misleading.

Just for the record, its TRUE there is no bottom. When completed you open the zip and look at your own flooring. The PDF is misleading, there is no base.
The first answer by a staff member above is total rubbish.
At the base you have two plastic side rails into which fit the four corner uprights and the front a rear tubes. Theses can be clearly seen on the illustration and if in doubt check out the pdf instructions which will leave you in no doubt.
As for using the rails to place shoes on, total rubbish unless you want to see them sticking out below the fabric cover.
