When smooth pavement runs out and the path gets bumpy. The Zinc Radikal Big Wheel Scooter has wide air-filled tyres and a steel frame built to handle rougher ground. The non-slip footplate keeps feet steady when the surface changes. Two handlebar brakes give reliable stopping. It's designed for outdoor exploring, suitable for ages 6 with adult supervision. Protective equipment should be worn.

Poorly made - sadly had to return
Sadly we had to return this scooter. When we received the scooter we took it to a local bike repair shop to build the last part and to check the brakes for us, to which he found there was a fault with the tyre in which it wouldnt inflate and he also noticed that the frame of the scooter was welded out of line, so the main frame appeared to be manufactured faulty and more than likely a faulty batch from the production line. He also noticed the back wheel which comes already assembled was again bent and not straight. All these factors he believes would make the scooter unsafe for use and didnt advise us to keep this item. When i contacted argos via telephone to pass on what we had found out and to warn of a possible faulty batch, i was told i could hsve a relacement sent out or a refund, i wasnt comfortable with another being sent out incase the same issue was to occur, so i requested a return which was done swiftly and a refund was through almost straight away. I would like wherever the production of this scooter was made to be advised to check over the quality before sending out. My son loved the look of the scooter and he was very upset that we had to return this. We will be going to Halfords or Smyths for one so that we can check it over before purchasing.

Cheap rubbish
Ordered two of these for my kids, building it revealed the poor quality of it; wheels were slightly buckled, brakes were a nightmare to set up and the thing didn’t run smooth. Definitely looked like a long term loss so ultimately returned both of them. The positive reviews for this item seem to be ‘tester’ reviews where the reviewer hasn’t paid for the item. Poor use of your money if you ask me.

This Zinc scooter is a gift to my grandson on his 6th birthday, He loves this scooter. It is sturdy and moves along smoothly. He also likes colorful and classic look of it.

brilliant scooter
i got this for my 7 year old after he struggled with his old scooter as he couldn't use it in the woods/on the grass... This new scooter is perfect he loves it, he can go anywhere on it and the on handle bar break levers make it alot easier to stop when needed

Fantastic bit of kit!
An amazing scooter! The brakes are sharp as a tac, the big wheels are durable, and you can inflate or deflate the wheels too! Not suitable for under 7's id recommend unless there tall! ( tall scooter)

I purchased this scooter on the basis that the handlebar height was adjustable. The handlebar quad clamp attaches to the stem and there is no adjustment possible. The centre of the scooter handlebar grip is approximately 90 cm off the ground.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
