Budget item but well made
I was hoping for a significant improvement over the tv speaker system but it is not quite as expected. I would have liked a better sound on vocals but it is not hugely better. Perhaps it is my hearing,but then again, maybe you get what you pay for.

Surprisingly excellent for the price!
Glad I chose this over the £99 Sony soundbar sold by Argos, too. I chose the Philips because of its latest Bluetooth codec. DTSX ability and control over treble and bass. On that note, the base is surprisingly deep for its size and price. Do note I’m using this in a small double bedroom, so it may struggle in a larger open space. Surprisingly spacious stereo sound and excellent with good quality sources eg Blu-ray. Not quite as impressive as my full size HomePod Gen 2, but that was £299, so it would be unfair to compare both too much. But I really do recommended this sound bar. If you want deeper bass, opt for the subwoofer pack for £149 also sold by Argos. Otherwise, this is perfect for a small to medium sized room without too much crazy bass. Nice work, Philips!

Great sound
I wanted a soundbar that clarified speech and this soundbar does it really well. I love the Entertainment app, which allows you to change the bass and treble and choose whether you want the sound to be in movie, music, voice or stadium mode and other options. You can also turn off the led light on the front of the soundbar if you wish. The user manual and quick start guide are there too. A good all-rounder at a great price.

After reading positive reviews I decided to buy this one, so glad I did, great sound after struggling with speaker from tv. And the price was right too.

Fantastic Soundbar
Made a huge difference to my TV movie watching experience. Supports DTS Encoded blu ray discs. Just the right amount of bass and treble although this can be tweaked to your preference via the Phillips app. Great purchase very happy

This has an optical audio port and 1 HDMI port too, but neither cable is included. You'd need to use/purchase suitably compatible cables to connect it to another device. The exact type needed will depend on the type and specs of that other device.
