About this product
The Argos Home Maine Bookcase gives you practical storage for books, display pieces, and everyday items in a slim, upright design. It's a straightforward tall unit that fits neatly against walls without eating into floor space. The wood effect finish with PVC coating protects against marks and wipes clean after dusting. Five shelves in total provide flexible storage, one fixed shelf gives structural strength, and four adjustable shelves let you space things to suit what you're storing. The black finish works with most room schemes and keeps things neutral.
The slim depth maximises space in compact rooms or narrow alcoves where deeper bookcases won't fit. Adjustable shelves move to accommodate taller books or smaller paperbacks, decorative items, or storage baskets. Wall-mounting fixings included for stability, especially important in homes with children. Self-assembly required, instructions and all fixings provided, two people recommended for easier handling. Maine bookcase
I brouhht this several momths ago although it is a bookcase it is so versatile im using it for dvds it keeps them so neat and tidy it is very stable didnt need to attach it to the wall

Excellent bookcase which was easy to put together. It is quite heavy and therefore substantial.

Easy to put together but not very sturdy
easy to put together but can tell its a lower end priced product. The supporting back panels arrived in 2 halves and was difficult to tack onto the back of the bookcase to make sturdy due to it being in 2 pieces rather than one full piece and so had a visible gap of around a few mm's in middle of bookcase. If this was to be displayed in a busy living space I would have sent back but ok for sons bedroom and requires the wall supports to prevent tipping. Assembly was easy to put together

Great bookshelf!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and honestly it’s perfect, so much space, shelves are adjustable. Was so so quick to build. A good weight - not too heavy but also not super light so don’t have to worry about it falling over. The walnut finish is also gorgeous, goes perfectly with my decor. Thank you Argos!
