Great product
Bought this product a few weeks ago, as I needed to paint a wooden summerhouse. It was excellent. I painted it in a fraction of the time when I used a brush previously. With the different spray settings, it makes it easier to get into crevices. There is also a video on how to use it. Highly recommend.

Better than brushing.
This really does speed up painting fence panels, literally taking only a minute or two. A 6x6 foot panel uses about a litre of fence paint, which is how much the sprayer holds, so you can add an amount of time for refilling in-between, which you don’t have with brushing. The sprayer is very much easier though. You will waste a bit of paint in overspray for ends and the top of a panel. I sprayed before fitting the panels in concrete posts. If not you would have to prepare the posts to avoid overspray. Cleaning the sprayer is more complicated and takes longer than just spraying clean water through it but it’s not difficult.

Excellent sprayer for exterior projects
I had a big project consisting of about 15 fence panels to paint and discovered my battery powered sprayer was faulty. I’m so pleased with this product as it seems powerful, reliable and easy to use. The spray pattern is excellent and the unit is easy to clean. The only negative thing is that you do have to refill the paint container quite often.

Works really well
This sprayer made painting my new fence which has trellis attached across all the panels so quick and easy. It is easy to assemble, and to disassemble for cleaning, simple to use, and the shoulder strap makes carrying easy. I deducted one star because it is tricky to fill the container from a big can. I had to use a jug to prevent spills down the side. The amount of spray is adjustable and I quickly got the right setting for the paint I used. What would have taken hours with a brush was done in less than 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this sprayer for fences.

Great Electric Paint Sprayer!
This was such a good buy. I wish we'd thought to get one before now. We have a lot of fence panels. This Paint Sprayer has great coverage & the time it took to spray 11 fence panels was hours in comparison to days of 2 people hand painting. The painting of the rest of the fence panels & decking doesn't seem so daunting now!

Hello Neil,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Wagner Fence & Decking Electric Paint Sprayer: ''There are a few Fence / Shed paints on the market that are “wax-enriched”, with two of the big-name brands being Cuprinol Ducksback and Ronseal OneCoat (formerly known as Ronseal FenceLife).
Whilst wax has excellent water-repelling qualities, it is known to cause issues with spraying equipment, as it leaves a residue that can quickly build-up within sprayers, hindering trigger movement and spray-pattern uniformity. It can also clog the sprayer completely, rendering it useless.
This is not specific to Wagner sprayers, but all electrical sprayers in our experience.''
Thank you for using Q and A.

Hello there
I can advise the following for: Wagner Fence & Decking Electric Paint Sprayer.
The Wagner Fence & Decking Electric Paint Sprayer (608/5263) is designed primarily for low-viscosity wood treatments, such as fences, sheds, decking, and garden furniture. While it is suitable for water-based and thin solvent-based wood treatments, it is generally not recommended for thick masonry paints or heavy coatings on brick.

Hello Mike,
Wagner Fence & Decking Electric Paint Sprayer
You're best to use qarm, soapy water for water-based materials; mineral spirits for oil-based materials, along with a soft bristle brush and a rag. Always flush with clean water after the mineral spirits. Always check the back of the paint container for appropriate cleaning solution.
Do not spray or clean with liquids having a flash point of less than 100ºF (38ºC). Flash point is the temperature at which a fluid can produce enough vapor to ignite.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Erin,
The supplier has advised the following for the Wagner Fence & Decking Electric Paint Sprayer:
“ Unfortunately the Fence & Decking Sprayer is only designed to handle the very thin products such as fence treatments & stains etc
On that basis we would not recommend the product for the purpose mentioned - the customer would need to look at one of our more professional units in the range such as the FC3500 XVLP. ”
Thanks for using Q & A.
