Who needs an expensive receiver?
Wow!! I've used a 5.1 Sony system for 23 years and thought I'd need to spend silly money upgrading. How wrong was I? This thing is fantastic!! Sound and clarity is superb, controls perfectly from my LG TV remote, Dolby Atmos sounds great even though it is bouncing off the ceiling with no separate speakers. Who knew simply using HDMI pass through is all you need now, anyone that says you do for a simple living room setup is talking rubbish. But this and change the way you listen to your TV programmes and movies forever š

Incredible value for any audiophile on a budget. Can't return to TV speakers ever again after this. Great sound depth and immersion with easy out of the box setup and connectivity.

Impressed
Set up was a bit clunky (I had to manually pair both satellite and sub), but once set the sound is awesome. Having set it on movie, with bass and treble at zero, this appears to be cover everything. Dialogue is nice and clear, and does not get lost and muffled at higher volume levels, even when the sub kicks in. All in all, and certainly for the price it's a really impressive system.

Just purchased to replace old surround sound system.So far very impressed , no wires no great big stand up speakers either side over TV, would recommend.couple of down sides , registering warranty difficult , remote turns on dysney app, user manual on line.

Top sound for a great price
We bought this to replace an old sound system. It was so easy to set up and is great to not have wires trailing round the room to speakers. The sound is incredible, clear and with a rich warm bass. For the price I really can't fault it

The rear speakers are required to create cinema surround sound, but they can be switched off if not required. It's recommended to switch off the surround setting if not using, so that no parts of audio meant for the rear speakers, is missed.

I can advise that the Hisense AX5125H uses Bluetooth to wirelessly connect its subwoofer and rear satellite speakers to the main soundbar for true surround sound, eliminating long speaker cables, though these separate components still need their own power cords.

I can advise the following for: Hisense AX5125H 5.1.2Ch Sound Bar with Rear Speakers & Sub.
The rear speakers for the Hisense AX5125H connect wirelessly to the soundbar but need their own power supply. They do not have to be cabled back to the main soundbar, only plugged into a wall outlet to receive power.
