Really good video doorbell
Have been looking at video doorbells for some time,they all seem expensive and need cloud storage ,This Tapo D210 however was at the right price and the recordings can be stored via an sd card rather than the expense of a subscription.So far so good the fitting was straight forward as was pairing with the wi fi,the picture resolution is ok,coverage is good,battery seems ok now that I have all the detection and sensitivity settings done,not sure the battery will last 180 days as stated,but that all depends on the settings you need.I am delighted with it and would recommend it as a good budget video doorbell that will do the job.

Excellent product
Replaces my Sky Protect doorbell. Reason for replacing was due to the wifi dropping regularly to the doorbell and constant removal of doorbell to charge it up. This Tapo Doorbell was a game changer. No wifi drop to the chime or recordings. Chime is placed 30ft from doorbell. Recordings are bang on and very alert at picking up movement etc. Battery lasting a long time! Keep checking the app thinking it needs charging (due to old doorbell needing charging every 2 days) Uses around 2% a day out of 100%. Using a 64GB micro SD card on loop recordings and recordings seem to last over 30 days.

Great product at a decent price
We have had our new doorbell for a couple of weeks. After an initial problem setting it up, although I believe this was more just our wifi, we have found it to work really well. I have only just had to recharge it so about 2 weeks use. Picture quality is great and sound too. For the price we paid we are very happy.

For camera live view, once the camera is set up in the Tapo app and connected to the internet, you can watch it for free (no extra cost).
For camera playback, there are two recording types:
1. Tapo Care Cloud Recordings: Each Tapo Camera offers a one-time 30-day free trial of Tapo Care (starts when enabled in the app), which provides 30-day cloud video history and advanced features. Yes, the Tapo app is compatible with Android 7 and later;
You can use the same TP-Link ID for the app on multiple devices, or you can use the Device Sharing feature to share access with other separate accounts, allowing up to 5 accounts to access cameras.

The Tapo D210 Doorbell does have a built in anti-theft alarm available to turn on through the tp-link Tapo app.
To turn on the anti-theft alarm on the Tapo D210 doorbell, use the Tapo app go to Device Settings Alarm and enable the Anti-theft Alarm toggle. When active, if the doorbell is removed from its mounting bracket, it will trigger an audible alarm.

It requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection during setup.
Without WiFi:
• The doorbell will appear offline in the Tapo app, and live view and settings will be unavailable.
• However, pre-configured wired doorbells can continue recording to an SD card even without Wi-Fi. To set this up:
1. Configure the doorbell and insert an SD card
2. Enable 24-hour recording (if supported) under Settings > Storage & Recording
3. Relocate the doorbell to an area without Wi-Fi
4. Power it on—recording continues automatically
5. To view recordings, remove the SD card and use an SD reader on a computer, or reconnect the doorbell to Wi-Fi and check via the Tapo app's playback page
