Looked the Part; Hose Let It Down
I bought this air conditioner after it was highly rated by Which? magazine. It’s lightish and easy to move: it comes with coasters work well on carpet (but probably too well on hard floors). Unfortunately, I had to return it without even using it as the exhaust hose is only 1.2 metres long, making setup impractical with our windows. When I was returning it, a helpful shopper mentioned you can buy extensions at Screwfix, but I'd checked beforehand and the manufacturer clearly states that this voids the warranty. I learnt that extending the hose reduces efficiency and can risk damage. For a product marketed as portable, this limitation is a serious oversight. Disappointing, as it seemed a promising solution.

Disappointing
The cooling feature is useless and I find my normal tower fan better. The space to place the freezer packs in the water container is very small and awkward. I wish I had never bought it

Does the job!
Works well nothing fancy. Note that the window pipe attachment can be easily detached which can be a pain to put back on. Other than that it’s good unit.

Works perfectly!
Works well, can be a little loud on full power but once cool its very quiet on low, cools a room quickly and had a nice attachment for venting out a window

Keeps us cool!
We bought this during the last hot spell as my elderly dog was struggling with the heat. This worked amazingly and I don't know how we have previously managed without it now! It cools the room down perfectly even with the door open so the dog can come and go. This also came on the same day delivery which was perfect!

Air conditioner
Put this item a month ago and it works fine, but it’s way too noisy . It actually sounds like a small jet trying to takeoff if you want this item cool down your bedroom at night don’t bother he won’t sleep

Good service and helpful staff
Brought a heavy product and was given help loading into the car. Although I find the product doesn’t make that much difference to room temperature, Need to make these machines drop to about 15c and not the 18 as stated in the manual after purchase and setting up. 😆 to a wall cavity, so it was setup properly just didn’t make room cool enough

I can advise the following for the De'Longhi Pinguino Compact ES72 Portable Air Conditioner:
Apologies, this wouldn't work in this way. You are best getting an automatic IR blaster connected to the temperature controller so that a it can turn it on and off for you based on temperature.

"No, all portable air conditioners need to be vented to the outside, whilst its possible to use the hose alone and not install a full window kit these should be used with closed windows as all the warm air will be pumped back into the room."
