Sturdy bed
The bed is nice and sturdy, I’m very pleased as it was reasonably price so good value for money. I assembled it on my own (im a woman and no help was needed :-))and everything seemed to go into place easy enough. The only issue i had was that there were some marks and odd scratch on the bed but it wasn’t anything that was massively obvious so I didn’t return.

A lovely bedframe. The price was very good. This was just what I wanted for my spare bedroom. The frame is well made and very strong. The slats that mattress sits on are well supported and strong. It was easy to use the Argos website. I am happy with my purchase.

Very nice, easy to assemble looks as avertised and feels very sturdy. Some cosmetic damage on arrival but Argos support were very helpful in rectifying my concerns and providing me all the available options.

Solid wooden bed.
I recently bought this bed which was matched with a really comfortable mattress (see ny other review). This is a very solid good quality bed, the structure is very good. Easy to install once everything was sorted in to seperate parts. It says on the instructions that power tools are not needed but you definitley need them when putting the wooden slats on as there are no drilled holes. Apart from that everything went to plan.

This would depend on the thickness of mattress being used. On checking I can see the measurement from the floor to the top of the side rail is 40cm.

The slats on the Chile Single Wooden Bed Frame - Dark Stain have pre drilled holes however the bed frame itself does not. The spacers ensure the correct gap between the slats but the screws have to be screwed into the wooden frame to ensure a good tight fit.

The spacers are for separating the small logs that keep the mattress on the bed. The screws need to be screwed in to the bed, a basic screwdriver will do just fine, no need for electrical ones but if you have one it’d be a lot easier. The sides are screwed into both sides of the bed from the inside of the sides… the plan will tell you which screws to use. Ideally get someone for assistance.
