I bought this several weeks ago, following a family recommendation, I’m astonished by the amount of water removed from the house, this is with water access rooms closed, I.e. kitchen & toilets. I have two running just at night, and 7 litres is removed each night. I wouldn’t consider my house as damp, certainly there are no signs of this, which leads to my surprise as to the volume of water removed.

The supplier has advised the following for the Ebac 4850 21 Litre Dehumidifier:
“ We advise against using electrical equipment in bathrooms. However, to reduce excess humidity, you could place the dehumidifier on a landing outside the bathroom and leave the door slightly open. ”

The 5 year warranty is ONLY when purchased direct from Ebac. It has 12 months by default and 3 years when registered with Ebac they wanted an additional 70 pounds to upgrade to 5 years.

This comes with a 12 month Argos warranty and a 5 year manufacturers warranty both start from the day of delivery/collection.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Ebac 4850 21 Litre Dehumidifier: ''The water collection container on this model is 3.5 litres.
How often the unit will need to be emptied will depend on the amount of moisture that the unit is extracting from the property.''

Yes, you can do continuous drainage. Have a look at accessories here on ebac website, cannot post direct link here. There is a small rubber plug at the rear to remove and connect a hose

You could place near a wall but not against as you need to keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction. Although, we do strongly recommended to locate the dehumidifier central in the room it is being used in to ensure that safety is paramount.
