Works well enough
Using this with Windows Hello on Windows 10. Works ok, some fingerprints are unreliable others work every time. USB lead is shorter than it needs to be for use with an under-desk pc. On the expensive side but it saves me lot of password typing.

I love it..
Fantastic bit of technology, The Kensington VeriMark Desktop Fingerprint Key is a brilliant bit of kit, with it being usb it is basically plug in and play, all easy to understand instructions and next thing you know you have a fingerprint reader set up on you pc/laptop, i mainly use mine when i am in university and don’t have to worry about anyone seeing my password any more.

Amazing product, highly recommended.
I was actually amazed at how good this is. Unlocks my pc so fast, makes it safer so no one else can access it. Can add multiple fingerprints too! Amazing value for the quality. Would highly recommend and especially for businesses meaning their computers are safer.

Does what it says on the little black sensor
Got a laptop that doesn't have a fingerprint reader? Want extra security? Then this is for you. If not though, not much use. It is relatively easy to set up, follow the step by step guide using the QR code inside the box and your ready to go. Adds a good level of security to a home set up. Would be quite annoying to use out and about. But I believe, that this would work so well for company use. Imagine how good it would be to log in with a fingerprint at work. So easy. No windows passwords. It's very good at what it does, even though what it does is one thing. Highly recommend if needed.

Simple setup and security
This is so simple to set up and use, in the box is a card with a QR code to scan and then simply follow instructions to register your fingerprints. Then it is basically plug and play, windows recognised instantly but if it doesn’t just change the sign in options on your windows account to fingerprint recognition. No more password or PIN number all you do is place your finger on the reader and you have access to your laptop or pc

Very easy to install!
I am not very tech savvy so I was abit worried about how easy this would be to install, however I also wanted a way which would prevent my child from gaining access to my computer with sensitive work documents on. I was pleasantly surprised with the entire process. It was quick and easy to install and has worked flawlessly every time. It has a long cable which means I can use it in any usb port, too. I would definitely recommend this to others!

Great little unit, simple to set up and reliable.
Very simple to use - plug and play. I used it with Windows, and enrolling a fingerprint was very straightforward. Have used the scanner to log into Windows using Windows Hello, works every time. Also using it with some Web apps to log into accounts - completely seamless. Nice little unit, small and discreet, takes up very little room. Recommended if you need a fingerprint scanner.

Lightning fast recognition
I recently got the Kensington VeriMark Fingerprint Key, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. Setting it up was a breeze – just a matter of plugging it in, waiting a few moments for the device to be installed and then head over to windows hello and set up your fingerprints. The fingerprint recognition is lightning fast and accurate.. so far my fingerprint has worked first time every time. The build quality is excellent and has a premium feel, I was surprised at the weight with it being such a small form factor ! The addition of the adhesive base is a nice touch as in my case the key has now been securely fixed down to my desk. I couldn't be happier with my new fingerprint reader and I would recommend it to anyone who is forever forgetting their ever changing work password ! (it can also be used to protect your saved passwords in your web browser)

Little tricky to set up but amazing.
Smart little device, took me a while to set up at first and get running but easy to use after. Definitely the way forward for that extra security. I was worried that if I didn’t place my finger in the right place that it wouldn’t pick my print up but it did. It’s very much the same with the old iPhone fingerprint and works the same which is great.

Very easy way to log into my computer
I was a little dubious about this finger print key log in. The instructions are not very clear and I had to go to the Kensington VeriMark Fingerprint website to get details on how to install this. The print on the documents that come with this is in tiny font. After visiting the Kensington website, I managed to download the drivers and set the finger print option up on my PC. I had to scan all 10 digits on my hand numerous times to ensure it captured it correctly. Once this was done I re-started my computer and it gave me the option to log in using the Kensington VeriMark finger print device. Again I was a little dubious if this would work. I can confirm it worked perfectly, It is so easy to log on with my finger print, wish I would have got one of these before today. it is a small device that as you can see sits on the inside of my computer door. Enabling me to log on quickly and with no issues. I would recommend this to others I am really happy with this.

Hello Laserman,
I can advise the following for the Kensington VeriMark Fingerprint Key - Black:
Only when the fingerprint reader is connected to a viewer. By default you don't get to view the fingerprint that is being read for security reasons.
Thanks for using Q & A.
