About this product
The Argos Home Pepper Desk gives you a proper workspace when your home's short on space. It's compact at 80cm wide, fitting into spare corners or alongside a bed without dominating the room. There's room on the surface for a laptop, phone and your morning coffee. One smooth-gliding drawer keeps pens, cables and paperwork out of sight, while a fixed shelf below holds current files and essentials within arm's reach. Check the pieces before you start to assemble it
I bought this desk, needing something small and compact to give my daughter a dedicated space for her studies. It looked like this would be perfect, especially with the drawer for storage. Unfortunately, when starting to assemble it, it soon became clear that there was a fault. The holes in the two side panels were identical which meant both would only go on one side of the desk. So instead of side panels on the left and right, it would only have one on the left. A return and refund was quick and easy, even though I'd already started to assemble it. So a word of warning - checking all the pieces before starting!!!

After looking at the assembly instructions for the Habitat Pepper 1 Drawer Desk - White, it would not be possible to leave the draw and shelf section out, as this is the centre section which supports the top. It may be possible to add castors if you need to make this a little higher?

The supplier has advised construction of Habitat Pepper 1 Drawer Desk - White (4706434) does not allow to place the drawer on the left side.

I can confirm that the surface of the desk is 80cm x 40cm and would be suitable for most monitors, including 27inch, but it will also depend on the size of the stand and if you want to place keyboard, mouse on there.
