Not impressed
I’m not impressed at all. Children can’t play using their own accounts which means they have to play on an adult account so the parental things don’t work for an adult account. Having to leave a disc in the console at home means he can only play what disc if left in his PS5 so we’ve had to buy some digital down loads instead. We have a Nintendo as well and I much prefer this to PlayStation as it so much more straightforward. A lot of money but nothing really.

Absolutely fantastic
I bought one of these after the last update allowing you to play your own purchased games (providing they are streamable) and it is amazing. The screen quality is fantastic, even without headphones the sounds is great and the responsiveness of the device is top tier (providing you have good internet) as all games are streamed and not downloaded to the device.

While this can be used in this way, the connection will be the determine factor, you will need a Mi-Fi or mobile hotspot that allows connections over Wi-Fi to be able to use it this way. This is designed though to be used in the same household as the PS5.

From the information available. You do require a Playstation console that must be switched on, to be able to use the Remote Portal. It streams games from your PS5 over your home Wi-Fi. Just ensure your PS5 is on and connected to the internet.

Both your PS5 console and the remote player will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi connection; This does not have to be the same Wi-Fi connection , so you can use the remote player away from home.

Using the PlayStation Portal Remote Player and PlayStation Remote Play does not require a PlayStation Plus membership. If you are using Remote Play to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership to access multiplayer, then you would need to have an active membership to access that game’s multiplayer features.
