Definitely worth the money
The portal is so good loads better than I expected and all the other reviews saying how you need amazing WiFi mines just normal and it plays great all the games I’ve tried so far look amazing and play really good and the haptics are exactly like the ps5 controller easy to hold and way lighter than I thought brightness is great haven’t noticed any lag on it either definitely recommend

Excellent piece of kit
Don't be put off by any older negative reviews of the product. Sony have fixed a lot of issues with this device and it performs brilliantly with one caveat that you have good broadband and a solid wifi-connection. Our home broadband is 65mbps down 10mbps up which is fairly low by modern standards and I have not had any issues with the PS Portal. Being able to play cloud streaming games means you don't specifically need to own a PS5, so long as you have a PS+ premium subscription. The screen quality is excellent (I was very surprised by this) and the feel of the device is very ergonomic. Can't recommend highly enough to and PS5 gamer who wants the flexibility of gaming away from the TV and remotely.

No, it's designed for PS5 only, so it won't work with a PS4 on its own. It can play compatible PS5 and PS4 games, but only when used with a PS5 console.
