Great but do your research
Ensure you have decent internet, my PS5 is connected via Ethernet to my router but on wifi elsewhere, it can be pretty laggy. You also can't hot spot from a mobile unless you connect via VPN. Nat 3, look it up. Apart from these pain points, it's good. Terrible with hotel wifi but good with a decent wifi connection. Wouldn't play online games against other people on it though, mostly single player modes.

PS Portal 100% Recommend for PlayStation gamers
At first I was very sceptical about PS Portal midnight black and now I have bought it, I love it and love that I don't have to only play my PlayStation games on PS5, but now I can play all my games on PS Portal via my PS5 console or stream which is amazing and I would say if you're a PlayStation gamer, and you don't want to play on your mobile or a tablet, then PS Portal is for you, I got a great deal from Argos

Hello Kik,
PlayStation Portal Remote Player
The PlayStation Portal runs at 60fps.
Thanks for using Q&A.
PS Portal can connect to any Playstation account without owning a PS5. You dont need to download games or own a PS5. The games stream from the cloud like Netflix streams movies or, OPTIONALLY, from your own PS5 if you choose.
You can buy PS5 games from the Playstation store on your phone etc. These will be available to play on your Portal. Not all PS5 games support cloud streaming. Cloud streaming is a 13.50 per month PS Plus Premium service which includes a library of over 200 games.

Hello Ellie,
I can advise the following for the PlayStation Portal Remote Player:
While this can be used in this way, the connection will be the determine factor, you will need a Mi-Fi or mobile hotspot that allows connections over Wi-Fi to be able to use it this way. This is designed though to be used in the same household as the PS5.
Thanks for using Q & A.

Hi Jock53.
PlayStation Portal Remote Player:
From the information available. You do require a Playstation console that must be switched on, to be able to use the Remote Portal. It streams games from your PS5 over your home Wi-Fi. Just ensure your PS5 is on and connected to the internet.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Fatima,
I can advise the following for the PlayStation Portal Remote Player:
You need Wi-Fi for this to work correctly.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Streaming quality with mobile hot-spots will generally not be as good or stable as using home wifi. The Portal can connect to any wifi access point just like any other portable device. Also note that cloud streaming could use between 2 to 7 GB of data allowance PER HOUR of play.
Hello Laura,
PlayStation Portal Remote Player - Midnight Black
Both your PS5 console and the remote player will need to be connected to a Wi-Fi connection; This does not have to be the same Wi-Fi connection , so you can use the remote player away from home.
Thanks for using Q&A
Cloud streaming is a 13.50 per month PS Plus Premium service which includes a library of over 200 games. It can be purchased separately to work with your PS Portal without requiring you to own a PS5.
Hi Tay
Using the PlayStation Portal Remote Player and PlayStation Remote Play does not require a PlayStation Plus membership. If you are using Remote Play to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership to access multiplayer, then you would need to have an active membership to access that game’s multiplayer features.
Hope this helps. Thanks for using Q&A.
