Good bit of kit for the price
A very powerful power tool it cuts through cement very quickly with the chisel attachment, switching from chisel to drill is very easy. The drilling attachment goes through a brick wall quickly with precision. I’ve only had the SDS hammer drill a short time but it seems a very durable drill.

Must have for a DIYer
I got it when my usual drill machine with hammer action won’t go into my wall however this one went in without any problem. It comes well packaged with a handy carry case and few bits. At the price this is bargain and highly recommend it.

Excellent price, did what it was supposed to do.
Used for breaking up 15cm (6") concrete for drive renovations and to drill concrete fence posts, both tasks done quickly and efficiently with this tool. The price was unbeatable. I'm pleased with my purchase

I haven't used it yet but it looks like a good build heavy and robust, I hope I'm managing enough for this equipment.

Good drill. Really cheap. Don't forget to crease the maintenance port occasionally. But for the money 38 pounds. Well that's a bargain 😀

Hi Dave.
Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W:
Other SDS bits can be used with the Hammer Drill. It is recommend that only high quality SDS bits be used.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Donna.
The supplier has confirmed. The Guild Corded SDS Rotary Drill 1000W is rated for masonry drilling up to 26mm, so it is unlikely to drill 40mm holes in brick
Thank you for using Q&A
This needs lubrication. The drill has grease lid which needs to be topped up when the performance degrades as per the manual. Also in the manual it recommends to lubricate the bit shank as well. Recommendation is to use a lithium based grease.
Hope this helps.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W: We would only using the sized drill bits supplied with the drill (8/10/12x150mm)
Please be aware that SDS rotary drills can be used for some mixing tasks, they are not ideal for heavy-duty concrete mixing. SDS drills are primarily designed for drilling into hard materials like concrete and masonry. While some SDS drills come with mixing paddles, they are generally not as powerful as dedicated concrete mixers and may not be able to handle large quantities or heavy mixes.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hi Rosie
Guild Corded SDS Rotary Hammer Drill - 1000W.
The drill does come with an auxiliary handle. The handle can be moved to allow for different positioning for drilling and chiselling, such as tiles. Please see the link below for the operating manual:

The front handle grip is very easy turn to any position so if you have an angled 25 ° chisel then it would be a breeze
Maybe Argos can remove the picture on the page which says it can easily be switched to reverse, when the picture is of a drill action selection mode.
