Avoid like the plague
This device runs on Amazon's version of the Android operating system which was largely developed by Google. Whether deliberately or otherwise Fire does not support Google apps and a number of others. You can access most of these via web browsers but this is clunky and you lose a number of app-based features. I should have done more homework before buying. That said the tablet was cheap and works well and is value for money if you are prepared to accept its limitations.

I can advise that the Amazon Fire HD 8 8 Inch 32GB Wi-Fi Tablet - Black requires no subscriptions to use the tablet but some apps and features will require a subscription, such as Netflix or Audible. There s also a one off fee if you want to remove adverts.

Hello, you will need to measure from the bottom left corner diagonally to the top right corner of the screen. This does not include the bezel. This measurement should be inches as that is what is typically used to measure screens. Thank you for using Argos Q & A.
