Still waiting
Installed dash cam without any problems but I have not been able to download any videos from the camera. Repeatedly being told that I have no internet connection when trying to access the camera files It’s likely me who’s at fault for not following the instructions properly,. not yet contacted customer support

Picture is so clear!
Been wanting a dashcam for a while and I really like how easy it was to set this up on my phone and on the window. The picture is clear and records well. Still trying to figure a few of the features on the camera and App. The cable is really long so you can tuck it away so it’s not hanging. Love that it has GPS. My downsides are that it’s a sticker and not sure how well the sticker will last on windscreen rather than a sucker. Also it’s only a front facing camera and doesn’t have a back camera. The App does seem very basic though.

High quality images/video, but too over sensitive
The dashcam came well packaged and includes a charger, 12V cigarette lighter and mount. However, this item does not come with a hardwiring kit. So whilst the dashcam states it has a parking mode, you are unable to do this without purchasing/installing a separate hardwiring kit. This is disappointing as whilst it's advertised as a feature of the product, it can't actually be used without the purchase of extras. I did however like that it came with built in storage. The dashcam was easy to install and only includes a front facing camera. Initially didn't stick well and fell off without car moving, however we tried a different position and it has since been completely secure. One pro is that the mount is adjustable so you can get the angle you need for dashcam. However, a con I have with this product is that you have to connect to there specific WiFi, losing normal internet. This means it stops all phone notifications as it thinks its connected to WiFi. You have to forget the WiFi network on phone everytime you want data while driving. The dashcam has very high quality 4K images which I was very impressed with and I was very happy with the quality of the video. The dashcam uses an app which was easy to set up. On using the app it acts almost in a 'black box type of way' in that it provides you with a driving score for each journey and shows a map of your journey. I personally don't think this feature is of particular help or needed. It also shows and detects your speed limit on the photo/video alongside a time stamp. Whilst using the dashcam the recorded videos were excellent quality. However the dashcam itself is far to sensitive! Every single speed bump, pothole etc is detected by the dashcam as a crash meaning it takes a photograph each time. This shows its way to sensitive but also takes up storage with stuff that isn't a crash. There is also an advanced driving mode which again is far to sensitive. It comes in a low or high setting and can be turned off/on and adjusted on the app. This tells you things like 'the car in front is moving' 'too close to car in front, stay in lane'. This has a lot of false positives to the point where the advanced features become an annoyance/distraction while driving. You can however turn this feature off. Overall I would only use this dashcam as a dashcam without the smart features. Whilst high quality images, the dashcam is just far too over sensitive

Good imagery app could be better
I have used this for a few weeks, the images from the camera are very clear. I have yet to put the wire into the cars interior, you do get a tool to help you do this but it seems very fiddly. Everytime you get in the car the camera talks letting you know it’s working. The camera is very sensitive every time I go over a pothole it takes images. The app isn’t the best, it only seems connects if you have the app open in the car while the camera is on, I have just opened the app and the last few journeys aren’t recorded so I will need to start the car for the camera to turn on. Not sure if the camera will record when the car is off, so if someone hits the car while it’s parked I don’t think it will record it. The app also rates your driving out of 100% if you accelerate fast or brake your score goes down.

Does Exactly What Is Needed
This dash am does exactly what I need it to. Was relatively easy to install (hard wiring kit not included). Not overly noticeable once installed. Great quality images produced by the camera which you can view within the app on your phone. I do feel the camera may be a little sensitive as takes pictures when hitting potholes (or maybe that’s UK potholes are getting worse making the car think it’s had an impact).

Great Dashcam that records real 4K footages
Well the Road Angle Halo Ultra 4k is really worth every penny it has one of the best configured dash cam out there. It comes with: 1. 65 GB internal storage(might be diff for a diff Road Angle Cam) 2. Smart imaging and driver alert system. 3. It can alert driver of real time scenarios on the road like if the car in front is moving “Road Angle Cam “will inform by a Voice alert the car ahead is moving. Similarly you get voice alerts for “Keep driving in the lane”, “Car ahead is too close” etc. 4. The Halo app is just at another level. Once you are connected to you’re Road Angle Cam you can view tons of information about your journey. What I like most was: i) View and play a recorded animated map journey. ii) Your driving score which records Rapid ACC, Hard Breaking and Sudden Turn iii) It also records loads of more information like speed. Direction, elevation, duration and more 5. The Halo app gives you the opportunity to edit the recorded videos and can literally be used for social and personal purposes. Apart from this the Road Angle Dash cam is easy to install comes with all the tools needed. The only problem I had was I couldn’t get the 3MM tape out easily but it did came out after watching a video where it was suggested to use a sharp object and carefully try to peel it off. Areas of improvements: 1. The dash cam captures a lot of reflections and if there would have been a way to adjust the angles once the dash cam is installed that would have been great.

Simple and effective
The Road Angel is a simple and very effective dashcam, which gives good quality videos. It has the right feature set (no unnecessary GPS), good connectivity, and reasonable software app. App is not especially intuitive but improves with use. My only reservation is that the camera can not be removed without unsticking the mounting. Needs a 5v supply - use a 12v to 5v converter available on any major retailer at low cost rather than the expensive connection kit. Pricing is very good for performance.
