Great quality futon for the money
Great quality futon for the money. Easy to put together, nice thick mattress, looks really good. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend. Have had two guests sleeping on it over Christmas and both said it was comfortable.

Easy to put together. Comes in a compact box so easy to manouvre through tight door spaces. Looks chique in a room with a colourful cushion. Opens out to a double bed easy woth lots of space. Easy to move back up to a sofa and very comfortable. Much cheaper than a traditional sofa bed at just over £200. I live it!

Not the best product
Was intended to be used for one time only for some visitors. Broken after one night! Not very comfortable as well, wouldn’t want to buy this product again as feels cheap.

I brought this for my new room. It was easy to assemble and it's very comfy as a sofa it's just what I need. Haven't tried the bed yet but it looks comfy and easy to assemble.

Not so comfy when using as a bed
As a seat it is very comfy but when reduced down to sleep on it is not so comfy. Even with a mattress topper you can feel the wooden slats. Maybe more suitable for a light child rather than an adult.

Good value futon
Good value futon. The wooden components were easy to assemble, took under 10 minutes. The wood did splinter slightly at the edges, but feels solid. The cushion part is sturdy and comfortable to sit on as a sofa, quite firm as a mattress. As others have commented, probably worth putting a mattress topper on to sleep on it. There are ‘feet’ on the front of the futon, which means that when laid flat the foot end is slightly raised. The feet can either be taken off for this, or supports put under the other parts to make the cushion lay flat. Slightly odd design but I guess the feet are needed to make it sit right as a sofa. All in all a good value futon, pleased with purchase.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Kyoto Tosa 2 Seater Futon Sofa Bed - Black.
The filling of our Futons is a top layer - mixture of polyester wool and cotton, middle layer - mixture of natural and synthetic fibres.
This Conforms to: BS1425-1:1991 Cleanliness of fillings and stuffings for bedding, upholstery, and other domestic articles.
In regard to covers, they all have FR coatings and are a mix of Polyester and cotton (it's a legal requirement F&F Regulations)

The supplier advises that you should not clean this yourself, you will need a specialist upholstery cleaner as you may rub off the Fire Retardant products which are used to protect the mattress.
