About this product
Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 purifying fan heater. Automatically senses and captures pollutants to purify your whole room. Fully-sealed to HEPA standard – what goes inside, stays inside.
Whole-room purification: Only Dyson purifiers have Air Multiplier technology, to draw in distant pollutants and project 290 litres of purified air throughout the room.
Heats in winter. Cools you in summer: In winter, Air Multiplier technology projects purified, heated air throughout the room. Once your target temperature is reached, heating automatically stops.
In warmer weather, Air Multiplier projects over 290 litres of air a second for cooling airflow. Sensors constantly analyse your air, while our unique algorithm cross-checks data per second. To precisely monitor, report and improve your air quality.

Great look and works well
Fairly expensive and a bit noisy but a good alternative to keep our living room warm when we don’t want to heat the whole house

So quick!
We’ve used this as an air purifier and heater to take the chill out of the room without needing to put the central heating on. It’s very effective and pleased with it.

Great features and looks fantastic
This is the second one that I purchased. All I can say is EXCELLENT for airflow, cooling, heating, filter at ion and heating.

This appliance works well & warms our living room nicely, won’t need to test the cooling effects till next summer though. It is however quite expensive for what it does, a cheap fan heater would work equally well in warming a room & move the air about on the coolest setting.

Does the jobs it says it does
I won this in a competition, it's great, really effective as a fan, the breeze is nice. Please don't expect to compare this with Aircon, as many seem to, it's a fan, nothing more. Haven't tried the heating option yet but I imagine it will be fine. The remote is handy to have but not really essential. Is it worth the pricetag? In my opinion, no, you could buy a fan, heater and purifier for less but I guess it's nice to have a one size fits all, if that's what you need. I wouldn't have bought it, just too overpriced for Mr.

ok
less airflow than previous models so cooling compromised

Awful, didn't work properly
shockingly bad. Didn't work properly, and I sent it back! A lot of money for an item that doesn't work! Won't buy a Dyson product again!

Exceptional performance Fan
Bought as a surprise present for me, 100% pleased I have always wanted a Dyson Fan especially in this hot weather, looking forward to using the heating aspect in the colder weather

Disappointed
In 2025, this very expensive piece of tech does not have Wifi. One would expect that the hot + cool supports this. Airflow ok, filtering abilities to be seen (so far our air seems clean). But honestly, it's essentially a giant dyson hairdryer...

Clean and cooler air (ineffective during heat wave
I bought this a couple weeks ago and it really helped with my boyfriend’s hayfever. The air was filtered and removed all the particles etc I’m guessing into the filter at the bottom. It improved the air quality for sure.. although other than high pollen, I’m not sure there was much else that needed removing. For cooling I didn’t find it amazing. It was an unfair test putting an air purifier/heat cool fan to the test during a heat wave. The air conditioning unit we have was much more effective at cooling the air. But if you have a small space or happy to move it around it could help with the air quality and the cooling. When the fan is pointing directly facing you, I had no complaints on the cooling effectiveness and air quality. This is not very practical for day to day use. One would not sit directly beside a fan all day if you are busy doing other things.
