Will keep the light out
I bought this a few weeks ago and when I went to fi it I discovered I had made a mistake with my measuring and it was too big! How ever I have another curtain pole needing replacing and it will fit this window. I did fix half of the pole up to see how well it kept out light and was very impressed with the result.

For anyone wondering where the third pole is, the second narrow 22cm pole is supplied already inside the wider 25cm pole.

Argos Home 1.1m-3m Extendable Metal Curtain Pole - S Steel:
The two poles supplied are fitted together by the one pole sliding inside the other allowing for any extension depending how much you slide inside. Just slide and fit to the length you want.

Having looked into this, it is advised pole lengths longer than 240cm should be supported using the centre bracket. If using heavier curtains, it is again advised to use the centre support bracket.
