The unit was purchased for my desk and is just too big. It is also temperamental and the bulbs keeps popping out so I’m not sold on the build quality.

After using a very old unit for the same job this item is more energy efficient and so easy to use.There is no timer however and the case is slightly flexible in places. Other than those I am very pleased so far.

This is my second one. I had my other one many many years. I have it on for hours on a night as I read and sew by it. I can only have white lights,the blue ones are not bright enough and I feel I am struggling to see. I have been using these types of lights for over 20 years and they help in the winter but I use mine all year round. Excellent product.

Excellent SAD Lamp
I bought this SAD lamp a few months ago and use it daily in the mornings. It is on the larger side of these lamps but slots out of the way easily for storage. It is very bright and I have felt the benefit of using it over the winter months, especially as I suffer from CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia.

The supplier has advised the following for the Lumie Brazil SAD Light:
"The Lumie Brazil is around 10,000 Lux.
We recommend positioning the SAD light around arm's length from you, this is a more comfortable distance. Then we suggest using for around 30mins per day, although this time can be increased if needed.
The SAD light should be positioned so the light can get to the back of the eyes, without staring directly into the light".
