Effective air purifier with quiet operation, auto mode, and good filtration. Helps allergy and asthma sufferers. Compact design fits small spaces. Some noise on high settings and filter availability is a concern.

Helps breathing and airways, freshens air.
Provides constant update of filtration by numbers, seems accurate, for example testing by opening a door or windows to let pollen into a room will see a quick increase in its filtration numbers. Can vary its power to meet needs, including a nightime setting in bedrooms. Quiet on low numbers, but even on higher revs acceptable. Air seems sharper and feeling less bunged up breathing through nose after running it for a short time.

Whisper quiet overnight definitely improved air.
I bought this 3 weeks ago for my son who suffers from allergies and hay-fever. This is the second one purchased. We've been using ours for 6 months. Ive noticed a huge reduction in anything affecting our allergies. Its very quiet throught the night. Its filtration and coverage are great. It seems to clear the particles in the air. Consequently our allergies have reduced and breathing improved. Less reliance on hay-fever meds.

Can’t use above low – irritates throat
I’ve been using the Philips Series 900 Air Purifier and I’m still deciding whether to keep it. It does improve the air, but I’ve noticed that anything above the lowest setting irritates the back of my throat. I get a blockage feeling and end up having to clear it, sometimes bringing up hard bits. Because of that, I can only use it on low when I’m in the room at the moment. I’m going to try it in different positions/rooms to see if that makes a difference, but if the issue continues I’ll have to return it.

Small but effective
Filters well and is very quiet in sleep mode. Used in the kids bedroom, it is small and doesn’t take up much space but is still very effective.

ARGOS DESCRIPTIONS ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
Been a few weeks and I would have returned it if it wasn't for the return policy I read on opened packages with Argos. ARGOS states that filter is washable but it's not and is good only up to 1 year. I only brought it for the filter qualification stated. Argos covers themselves by stating they are correct at the time it was stated which in this case is a lie. Filters are a 30 pound investment to replace.

Quiet, works well and wasn’t expensive.
I brought this a few weeks ago, as my husband is allergic to our cat. This has helped him a lot cleaning the air. It does have a noise, but not a problem sounds like a fan heater.

Great air purifier.
The summer season is coming, with hay-fever sufferers like myself dreading this time. I bought this based on a few reviews read here and independent sites, and they all say the same thing. It runs so quietly like you wouldn't know it was on. I leave it on 'Automatic' mode which monitors air quality and increases/ decreases the fan speed. I bought this 3 weeks ago to properly test it out, and I can say I noticed air quality has improved in my flat. It is cheap to run, and works best for smaller properties.

Good machine, does the job, but a bit loud
I bought this after reading some reviews suggesting it is one of the all around best models. It is simple to use, and it is very powerful. Compared to similar brands it covers a larger room area and has a higher air flow volume. What I like is it doesn’t have an ioniser so does not create harmful ozone. The air quality detector is useful. When I am cooking it detects the grease and actually after a few minutes I can’t smell the smoke or grease in the other parts of my house. It makes a big difference. It is quite compact in size, and packs quite a punch for its size. Only downside is that it’s quite loud on the highest setting.

I just bought this product and the model number is AC0920, AC0921. To my understanding he difference to the 950 and 951 products is the 3rd layer in the filter. 920 filter has two layers, HEPA and Pre, but no carbon. The 950 filter comes with all three layers, including carbon.

Hi Darren,
Philips Series 900 Air Purifier 265/4643 This can help to remove mould spores, and more eliminating pollutants and toxins in the air.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi,
Let's go through the steps to clean the filter properly on the Philips Series 900 Air Purifier and address the cleaning symbol issue.
Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
Open the front cover and remove the pre-filter, carbon filter, and HEPA filter.
Clean the pre-filter:
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
You can also rinse it with water and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Clean the carbon and HEPA filters:
Use a vacuum cleaner to gently clean both sides of the filters.
Do not use water or wet wipes on these filters.
Clean the air quality sensor:
Use a vacuum cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the sensor.
Reassemble the filters in the correct order and close the cover.
Resetting the Cleaning Symbol
After cleaning, you need to reset the cleaning symbol:
Press and hold the filter reset button (usually marked with a clock icon) for about 3-4 seconds until the symbol disappears.
Filter Replacement
If the cleaning symbol persists, it might be time to replace the filter. The filters generally need to be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and air quality.
I hope this helps.
