No hassle Freesat box
Bought to replace an earlier Freesat recorder box which we'd had for years. Absolutely no faffing. Took straight out the box, plugged in, connected ariel cables and with the bare minimum of settings to navigate we were good to go. Great little box that does everything I need it to.

Freesat box
Had to return the original purchase as it malfunctioned from new. Replacement unit has been working satisfactorily for several weeks.

Great Freesat box.
Very good recordable Freesat box, good EPG and responsive. Changed the dish LNB to a wideband version so I can utilize the Humax ability to record 4 channels at once. So far so good.

Slow to start up but adequately functional
I bought this to replace a Humax Freesat box which had stopped working. In terms of software and functionality it is virtualy identical. The remote control is an improvement as there are dedicated buttons for iPlayer and Netflix. However, the biggest difference overall is that this box is very slow to start up. Also please note that the app quoted in their literature has changed and now one can not remotely programme the box to set recordings using your smartphone, which for me was a selling point.

Freesat recorder box
Love it, love it, love it, does exactly what I want and so easy too use
Mandy, 45 - 54, Wiltshire
Easy to set up and use.
My old Humax box would not start so I looked for an alternative and found that Humax freesat boxes were no longer available so opted for the Freesat recordable 500gb, and I am so glad I did.

Neat and tidy size
Overall it does everything I wanted it to do. Slower than my last one but it records more programs at one time so that makes up for it.

An adequate box but only just
This box works and does what it says but that's about it. It's very slow, the picture quality is not great with it being quite washed out needing a l,ot of adjustment on the TV to make it watchable. It's also not possibe to add any other FTA channels without switching to non-freesat mode which is then very poor anyway and takes ages to switch back. On the plus side it gives free tv and the ability to record.

Nice alternative to Sky
This worked well using the existing cables from our old Sky Q satellite. The interface is a little bit more clunky and slow than sky but for the huge price saving it’s a no brainer.
