Lovely rug
Lovely rug. Bought in the bigger size fits perfectly in my lounge. Great texture and colour adds that certain extra touch to make the lounge feel homely. Only trouble is my puppy spilled his water bowl all over it and although it stops the water soaking through to the carpet beneath, it doesn’t really dry out due to having the thick cotton going both ways. Would rather a thicker rug though just don’t spill on it! Hard wearing rug can be used for any room, value for money, would recommend.

Nice soft rug
Had this rug for about 2 weeks. It’s a nice colour grey with white flecks, a nice soft pile and a good size. Downside is it still shedding something off the back what I can only describe as plastic type dandruff

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Plain Grey Cotton Flatweave Rug - 120x170cm: Yes, the Argos Home Cotton flatweave rug is tested to BS: 4790: 1987- Method 1, in accordance with BS 5287: 1988.
There are no specific requirements for labelling rugs; but they do carry a standard warning to keep away from fire.

“ Yes the rugs ok to use on hard floors such as luxury vinyl, wood, organic planks, laminate etc but must use anti slip mat beneath the rug to prevent movements and for safety reasons. ”

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Argos Home Plain Cream Cotton Flatweave Rug - 90x60cm:
No, these are not heat resistant, although these rugs have low radius of ignition. We do not recommend to stand a convection heater on it for a long duration as it may cause shade change and quality deteriorations due to the longer heat exposure.

They actually wash very well at 30 degrees - can end up a little curled at the edges but easy to flatten again. I have an elderly dog who tends to pee on rugs - these come up stain free with even just a quick wash. Heavy to dry, but that is the only downside.

This is not suitable for use on underfloor heating as there is possibility of colour transfer on the floor with prolonged use.
