No need for Google Hub or Alexa. Just download the Tapo App. You can switch the light on or program it on the app. anywhere, so if you are away it's good to let people think you are at home.

Good product but...
Good product but, after a few week of use, spontaneously, the signal dropped so I was unable to connect via the app. Of course, there is a manual power button but that defeats the purpose of this product. Why it stopped pairing with my local network? I really don't know. Anyway, as per the products instructions, I reset the plug and paired it back to my router once again, and that resolved the issue. I hope this was just a one-off and not something I have to do every other week, as I was considering expanding on the other product it has to offer. Hence, owing to this glitch, it loses a star.
