You do not need to use pillow protectors on these Silentnight Anti-Allergy Medium/ Soft Pillows as they are machine washable at 40 deg C and can be tumble dried.

Mine were ok the first two times I washed them. After the third wash (and a couple of years of usage) they became quite lumpy though...
