Useful!
Bought a few weeks ago to keep an eye on my puppy while we started training him to be OK alone at home. The notifications when there is movement or a bark are super useful, so I'm not just constantly watching him or worrying!

Not fit for purpose and misleading description
I bought this to monitor my dog barking when i was out. After spending £50 on the camera I find that you have to pay a monthly subscription to gain access to pretty much all features advertised. It is useless without. To begin with it didn’t notify me when he was barking. I would then have to go through the huge number of videos to look for for episodes. As it does not record sound, that is quite time-consuming. I eventually hpt notifications working after extensive troubleshooting but ot isnt able to distinguish a bark from any other sound and would notify me when a human spike, the door opened and a whole array of other not barking events. All labelled as barking. Absolute waste of money and not as advertised.

Really useful little camera
I bought the camera to watch my dog when we had to be out and I am very happy with it. The quality of the image is good and never had any connection issues.

It does the job but gives nothing extra.
Camera is good for all our basic needs, however we are a little disappointed that two of us can't log in on our phones at the same time to view the live stream. This is a considerable negative. Also, when one person logs in, it completely logs out the other person and they have to re-set everything up again. Similarly, when we move locations with the camera; each time we have to set up everything from scratch. Very annoying and time-consuming. A shame because otherwise I would've rated it "good". The other thing I wish is there was a USB and/ or in-car adaptor so we could connect it out and about from the house (i.e. in the car). This was something we required but didn't get with this camera.

Excellent
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it has been invaluable in helping to look after our elderly, blind dog. It's really easy to set up and the clarity of picture is great.

Not impressed
The description did not mention having to subscribe to receive any kind of notifications. Also the magnetic fixing isn’t working as the camera fell off straight away, it’s just not strong enough. Nice live streaming and 2 way audio however for the price I would expect a little bit more and not another subscription. I will be sticking to my previous, cheaper camera with alerts.

I bought the camera 4 months ago, it’s a good camera it’s a shame that it doesn’t move left or right like other cameras

Hi Lin,
Here is some guidance about where to place the Petcube Pet Monitoring Camera
"Consider placing the Petcube in a location that allows for maximum coverage through the camera’s wide angle lens. It’s always a good idea to point the Petcube in the direction where your pets tend to spend most of their time. If you want to place the Petcube on a table or shelf, we recommend you set it up at least 3 feet above the floor. The Petcube has a non-slip rubber bottom, which provides a secure grip on flat surfaces. The camera should be placed closer to the edge of the surface for better viewing angle."
The Petcube needs to be protected from damage, scratches, liquid, dust, moisture, etc, and the cord must not be walked on or pinched, so please consider this when positioning the camera.
Thanks for using Q&A,
