Used for the first time last week. Absolutely thrilled with the product. Very powerful and dries very quickly.

Great clean but loud
The carpets are cleaner, fluffier, and the machine picks up lint and hair that even my Dyson didn't, which really surprised me. The downsides are that it is very loud and the lint collects behind the bristles then sometimes they get deposited on the carpet as you are cleaning, so I ended up with black wet patches of lint which I either collected or used the machine to hoover up. Alternatively I'd take the brushes apart and clean the lint away myself. It's easy to do, just annoying. And this was after just one room. Haven't used all the functions yet, or used it on the sofa.

Bought last week used straight away!!! In heat wave!!!! Easy to assemble! Easy to fill! Foot control on/off! This is my 3rd Vax and it is the best one I have had it is easy to use and the best it is the cleaning of it so easy to clean just fress the sides and the brushes come out to clan with the other 2 have used you had to un screw I told my friend about it she has got one and the same ,with having 2 dogs my carpets get soy dirty they think nothing to rubbing there backs on the carpet thanks Vax for making it

So pleased we bought this. My old Vax lasted 15 years so I'm hoping this will be the same. But, this one is so much better - it's lighter, and easier to fill and empty. Our carpets feel great - like they've been newly laid. Would definitely recommend.

This vacuum cleaner is a 2-in-1 hoover that wets the carpet and then sucks up the water to help it dry when cleaning. You can use a normal hoover after if you wish though.

Vax Platinum SmartWash Pet-Design Carpet Cleaner
It really does depend on how long you are using the machine for. On checking the manual I can see this has a tank capacity of 0.45L for the solution. It is recommended that the solution tank is filled when fitted on the machine. Unused solution can be left in the tank after use or poured back into the solution bottle.
